Prospecting
Prospecting can be exhausting. I am the opposite. I become almost euphoric, I think because I see it as a challenge, how many quality connections can I make? And I have a strategy before I start.
Here are the key points I must know before the first exchange of business cards or contact information.
- What am I selling
- What is the quality
- How fast is turn around time
- Who can afford my product or service
- Why will is solve a problem for them
I use simple tools like Evernote for taking notes at a booth and associating them with a photo. After 2-3 days, all your contacts will become a blur without some memory trigger.
